WHAT! 31 COMPANIES ELIGIBLE YET HANNAH YEOH-LINKED FIRM GETS DEAL WITHOUT OPEN TENDER? - ANWAR & PAKATAN MUST HAVE GOT IT WRONG

KUALA LUMPUR (politicsnowmy.blogspot.com) - The pressure is mounting on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to walk the talk on his much-publicized anti-corruption rhetoric - and it's hard to see how he can swerve the latest disclosures on social media that there were allegedly 31 companies eligible to win the Demand Responsive Transit project that was given by his party-controlled Selangor state government to a firm linked to the husband of his Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh without an open tender being called.
Big and reputable names in the industry such as Big Blue Capital, Cab Mobility, DB Network, DMD Technology, EZCab, Faszz Technology and Grabcar are said to be on the list going viral around town.
"To ensure transparency and good governance, as always been emphasized by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Anthony Loke and Ng Sze Han who are responsible for transport at both the federal and Selangor state levels must come forward to clarify and explain to the public in order to avoid misperceptions towards the Malaysia Madani Unity Government," the MCA, a political party allied to Anwar's ruling Pakatan Harapan coalition, said in a statement to PoliticsNow!
"If these claims hold merit, why was the DRT pilot project in Selangor awarded to only two companies without an open tender, including one allegedly owned by the spouse of Hannah Yeoh, the Minister of Youth and Sports, who is also from the DAP? And, in the event the 31 companies were indeed ineligible, both leaders shall face the public and address the people on this.
IT ALL STARTS TO UNRAVEL FOR ANWAR & PAKATAN

The DAP is a party within the ruling Pakatan coalition.
Yeoh, who is also DAP's Member of Parliament for Segambut, has denied impropriety and has also been 'cleared' by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on the grounds that she is a federal minister while the deal is awarded by a state government.
Her husband Ramachandran Muniandy is the founder of Asia Mobility Technologies Sdn Bhd, which is one of two companies selected for the Klang Valley project and was also given the green light by the Land Public Transport Agency.
The DRT is a pioneering transit system project said to be worth RM1 billion and was awarded by Selangor, the country's richest state government and controlled by Anwar's PKR party, through direct negotiations instead of an open tender process.
