FROM NEWS ANCHOR TO CEO OF PUSPAKOM? - APPOINTMENT OF MAHMOOD RAZAK RAISES EYEBROWS

KUALA LUMPUR (Politics Now!) -  The appointment of a former news anchor and producer as the new CEO of Puspakom, the national vehicle inspection company, has raised eyebrows.

According to news portal Free Malaysia Today, Mahmood Razak Bahman took over the post from Shukor Ismail who retired on Sept 30 after 11 years with Puspakom.

Puspakom chairman Abdul Hamid Bador said in a statement he was confident that Mahmood – who has held senior management positions in Sime Darby and Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) – would be able to spur the company to greater heights.

Mahmood was also a former board member of Puspakom and served as the head of group strategic communications at DRB-Hicom Bhd.
