KUALA LUMPUR (politicsnowmy.blogspot.com) — The wife of Bersatu MP Wan Saiful has passed away after a long battle with stomach cancer.
“The funeral prayers will be held at Masjid Kariah Sungai Sekamat, Batu 12, Jalan Cheras, Kajang," said Wan Saiful, the MP for Tasek Gelugor, said on Facebook on July 22.
“She will be laid to rest at Sungai Sekamat Muslim Cemetery, Jalan Sungai Sekamat."
According to Wan Saiful, his late wife Alena Omar had fought stage four stomach cancer and was on chemotherapy since 2020. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread to other organs.
She died at 3.07pm, at the National Cancer Institute (IKN), Putrajaya, where she was receiving treatment.
Wan Saiful, who is also a member of the Bersatu supreme council, is among the most vocal and active of opposition lawmakers in Parliament.
