'MADANI' HYPOCRISY? - POLICEWOMAN ARRESTED FOR HAVING 'OUTRAGEOUS MOTIVES' - AFTER GIVING HER TWO CENTS WORTH ON WHAT ANWAR'S 'MADANI' MEANS TO HER - ALLEGEDLY IN AN 'OFFENSIVE' WAY

KUALA LUMPUR (Politics Now!) - For 'referring to an individual' in an allegedly offensive way, when giving her two cents worth on a post in Facebook asking what comes to mind when 'Madani' is mentioned', a volunteer policewoman was arrested.

"Bila sebut Madani, apa yang terlintas di fikiran anda (When Madani is mentioned, what comes to your mind)?”

'Madani" is the slogan coined by Malaysia's narcissistic prime minister Anwar Ibrahim to describe his government's policy framework based on good governance, sustainable development and racial harmony.

The latest police action comes amid rising criticism and public anger at Anwar, whose political minders are determined to keep on a pedestal even as he loses popularity to fast-rising new stars from the Opposition, including Kedah MB Sanusi Md Nor and Terengganu MB Samsuri Mokhtar, who have both been taking the Malay heartlands by storm.

According to national news agency Bernama, a senior police officer came across the policewoman's post at 10.22pm yesterday, She was then detained at 10.58pm in Endau, Mersing.

Johor police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat too was reported as saying her reply also allegedly contained outrageous motives.
